Here are a few custom music nibs that I will bring the L.A. Pen Show next month. For the Sheaffer’s nib I decided to widen the slits towards the imprint, while on the Parker Vac nib I followed the lines of the “Arrow” of the nib, just to see if I could do it, and see how it looks, which I think it looks nice plus well proportioned. Hope to see you at the L.A. Pen Show; catch me early, as these nibs will sell out rather quickly.

Now here is a nice retip order from my one of my good clients. Al four nibs were requested to be retipped 1.1mm stubs. As you may already know, these nibs traditionally come rather fine, and rarely larger then a medium. The white platinum plating on these nibs is quite thick, and usually stays on the nib after the retipping process. Once set up in the pens, these nibs will be nice, wet, smooth writers.

Oh, the Joy of Pens! That is the title of the above picture from my good client Ori S. in Israel. Ori enjoys custom oblique nibs, often ground to a stub or an italic. Ori sends me the nibs, and I retip them, then send them back, often in just a few days so that Ori (and as you know other clients) can enjoy the nibs or pens quickly, without months and months of waiting, and no rush fees too
Let me help you today with your nib needs!

Roger is so happy with his Namiki Falcon now! Please read his first comments, then the second comment he made the next day; he thought that there was a disaster in the making; come to find out he was using his pen so much he ran out of ink
Dear Greg,
I have your pen in hand and can’t put it down! Thank you for doing a great job on flexing my Falcon pen and creating a needle point nib. I didn’t think that it was possible to see a line this fine made with a fountain pen. My wife will probably wonder what has happened to me as I don’t want to stop writing long enough to come up for air!
In the future I may send my Namiki vanishing point pen to you for an italic make-over.
Have a great week. Remember you have a friend in Pennsylvania!
Sincerely,
Roger W.
(Then Roger then wrote the next day;)
I had a scare last night. I filled the Falcon with Private Reserve Copper Burst ink and spent considerable time practicing with the pen. Late into the evening the pen stopped writing and no ink would flow through the nib. I flexed it a bit against my finger nail and determined that I had pressed too hard while writing and had sprung the nib beyond repair. A sad note for only having the pen for a few hours. Just as I was about ready to arrange the funeral for my nib I opened the pen to find that it was as dry as a bone. I had used all the ink and had no idea that I had been writing that long. Sure glad that it was a false scare that was remedied by a refill.
We should all have this problem! Keep writing and enjoying Roger

Greg is absolutely incredible!
My wife and I decided to send Greg a vintage Diamond PP with a nice flexible nib about two or three months ago that had a severe flat spot worn on its tip. We had decided to give this pen to my wife’s Mom as a gift and we were hoping Greg could get it writing reliably. Greg turned this terrible writing nib into a nib that writes just as nice as nibs we’ve received from John Mottishaw and Richard Binder! And he did this within 2 weeks as opposed to the 6 or 7 months you normally have to wait when utilizing John’s or Richard’s services.
So when I received a beautiful, near-mint, vintage Mont Blanc 246 two days ago that had ink flow issues due to slightly warped tines, I decided to give Greg a call. And my wife has a Waterman 52 V with similar issues, so I figured we would try and kill two birds with one stone and see if Greg could work his magic on both pens.
There was only one problem. We needed the work done in less than a week, since my wife and I are going out of town in 9 days.
I gave Greg a call and explained the situation. Much to our relief, Greg was more than happy to help us out, assuring us he could get the pens repaired and back to us before our trip.
So I sent him our pens via Express Mail on Thursday as a rush order, requesting that they be repaired and sent back to us before the end of the following week. He received the pens Friday just before noon and had the repairs completed by late afternoon! In his response, he sent a detailed email explaining what was wrong and what was done, and he even included numerous high quality photos showing closeups of the nibs from various angles along with numerous writing samples. He even included a photo of each pen putting down a smooth thin line while the pen rests under its own weight in his open palm with its nib making contact with the paper. Amazing! No more flow problems with these two pens – that’s for sure!
And the bonus is that we will get our pens back early next week – well in time for our upcoming trip!
I just can’t thank Greg enough for this fantastic level of service and support!
If you need nib work done at the caliber of a Richard Binder or a John Mottishaw, but can’t wait the 6 or 7 month turnaround time, I would highly recommend you contact Greg. He is – without doubt – one of the most skilled nib meisters in the U.S. today, and his commitment to his customers is absolutely beyond compare!
Thank-you Greg!

So, you have access to a few of these so called “Generic” Bock 18K gold nibs. The problem is that they all seem to come with just one tipping style, medium, Yawn!!!
I received a few of these Bock nibs from a client of mine who requested some of them to be reground to extra fines, fines, and retips. He chose a 1.00mm stub for one of the nibs, which, pictured below at two angles, came out real nice.
