Always nice to get feedback from folks about my work. Here is one below from Rick; he even “plugged” me with a bit of advertising on a post he did on the Fountain Pen Network. Check it out!
Thanks Rick! I look forward to more work from you in the future.

Right Footed Oblique Stub/Italic Triumph Nib Retip

Its not often that I get a request for a right footed oblique retip, but they do come in now and then. Above is a great example of one such request which I just retipped this morning. About .9mm in size for a Sheaffer’s Triumph nib. I am sure the owner of this nib will be more then happy with the results once it is fitted to the pen. Now That is a Flower I Can Really Like!

Surf's Up! Dana Point, California

All these nibs came from one client, and I had very specific directions to retip them all different ways, which I did. A variety of different nibs now await the eager client to receive them back. Broad stubs, Oblique Italics, Fine Italics, you name it, it is here.
Let me retip your nib to your specifications today; any and all sizes are possible. “Fun” is the name of the Summer Nib Flower above; each nib is petal of pleasure in writing, awaiting the owner’s gentle touch for an “Endless Summer” of possibilities. (for those of you who know what the “Endless Summer” is, then you know how these nibs look like a surf board, he he!)

Pressure Equals Line Width
I liked this combination. Super Flex Namiki Falcon with a fine, oblique stub. This was a request by a client of mine overseas. I was able to procure the Falcon pens from another supplier, and then customize the nib according to his needs.

Should I use a jeweler's loupe on this?
.
Hard to believe, but this is a regrind on a Pilot 742 I recently did for a client. Amazingly small, very needlepoint too. Getting close to being able to write the Constitution on a grain of rice, right? Well, I don’t know, but small enough for sure.
Below are the other two pens, a Montblanc 149 and also Mannenhitsu Hakase 1934 wood pen, and their respective samples. Its an extra “fine” needlepoint party!

Three's company!
Such a large pen, such a small nib regrind! Often is the case that people enjoy using my exclusive, extra fine regrinds with larger pens for many reasons. One is that the intervals between ink “fill ups” are few and far between, which is good for those times that you are taking notes in a business meeting, or taking notes in class, and you do not want to run out. How about when you travel, and you are far away from your ink bottle!
Below is pictured a nice extra fine regrind performed on a 149.

That is standard graph paper grid!

One of my clients, Dan, alerted me to a discussion on the Fountain Pen Network about fairly recent retip I did for a client on a Parker 51 nib. I had retipped the nib to a nice, smooth, 1.3mm stub, and returned the nib in about a week after receiving it in the mail. Please check out the link below to the post by copying and pasting it into your browser, and also view the responses to the initial post/with “before” and “after” pictures, plus a great picture of the nib installed in the pen, and a writing sample.
Thank you Dan for alerting me to this wonderful feedback on the FPN site
Greg,
There’s a little discussion going on over at FPN about the great experience one of your customers has had and I couldn’t help but add my two cents. Just thought I’d let you know.

1.5mm Music Nib, very wet!
.
So, you like large, wet nibs, don’t you? Back by popular demand, here are two more Parker 51 pens fitted with my famous 1.5mm Music Nib retip. Triple tines, lots of ink flow, and unique/hard to find for a Parker 51. The black nib is much wetter then the dark blue pen, so the choice is yours, depending on your taste, and how much you want to “paint” your signature on those important documents

Early Parker Duofold Nib, Flexible!
[caption id="attachment_1594" align="aligncenter" width="300" caption="Tricky Retip Job!"]

[/caption]
.
Rarely do I see this nib; a flexible Parker early Duofold nib. This nib came to me with one tine missing the tipping. Retipping this nib was a real challenge as the tines are thin, and as some of you know, these early Duofold nibs are rather brittle. Getting the tipping even on the tines is also another challenge, and making sure that the retip looks like the original from the factory must also be considered. After much patience with this repair, the customer should be quite happy with the results.
