Receiving an email from Japan was one special treat, then to receive an email from Israel doubled the treat, especially when it came in the same day! Ori S. from Tel Aviv recently received his dozen or so nibs retipped in all sorts of different sizes and shapes. Oblique sharp, smooth stub, oblique stub, cursive italic oblique too. Variety is the spice of life and for sure Ori enjoy’s his “spice.” I am more then happy to help with his desires for variety. Ori’s comments below:

It is always nice to hear from my clients overseas; once such client, Mr. Hironori fancies fountain pens with unique, custom nib requests. Mr. Hironori received a package from me today (Monday morning his time) and after setting up his new found “treasures” in his pens, was quite pleased.

Special Request; .9mm Stub/Italic retip to a 1995 Tabaldi Modello 60

This was a very interesting pen to retip; early Tabaldi Modello 60, unmarked nib. The good client Karen J. requested to have this nib retipped to a nice, smooth, wet stub, but with a bit of a cursive italic/sharper cross stroke. As you can see in the photo above, a nice, proportional retip done in the Minuskin nib works shop, beveled sides, and straight tipping, all hand done. Below is a photo of the nib in action and close up photos of the tipping.

By the way, Karen had to only wait one week for this retip! Are you waiting months for your pens? Let me help you more quickly. Turn around time is only 2 weeks!

Hi,
The falcon-music nib pen arrived today, thank you! (I will post ebay feedback later tonight)

I immediately inked it up and tested it, it is ground perfectly for my hand (I am accustomed to a fairly crisp italic nib), and I really enjoy the slight softness, not quite flex, from the falcon shape. I think it makes the nib more forgiving, easier to write with. I am very pleased with it!

Proven Performance! Professional Illustrations with One of My Custom Namiki Falcon Superflex Needlepoint

It is always nice to see my handiwork in action. The above illustration was done by one of my dear clients, José Mª Bielza Maestre, an fine illustrator in Spain. With his permission, he translated the bubble caption of the cartoon for my fans and allowed me to post it on my site for all to see.

The caption reads “Ah, I found a blanket on da Sea”

Jose uses, as one of his pens for his illustrations, a custom, extra fine, needlepoint Namiki Falcon I especially prepared for him for this type of work. Least to say I am quite pleased with the results, and Jose is too!

Jose says “I used my Falcon pens, the original and modified, loaded with Platinum Carbon Black. Greys of Letraset Promaker enhanced with Paint Shop Pro.”

I was finally able to pick-up my Falcom from the post office last night. All I can say is wow!! I stayed up late last night just because I couldn’t put the pen down. A great writing experience for sure. Now I just have to work on my penmanship skills and put this guy to good use
